Shoe Store Ad

This graphic design assignment is about using the Gestalt laws of visual perception to create a print ad for a fictitious shoe store. Because Valentine’s Day was around the corner, I decided to go with a Valentine’s Day theme.

I used the leg silhouettes to draw attention and then, with the law of continuation, lead the user’s eyes to the heart shape. The law of proximity was used by grouping the important ad details and enclosing them in the heart silhouette. I applied the figure/ground element by adding the anklet around one of the ankles.
